In the Gregorian Calendar year 2011 is the 2011th of the Common Era, also called the Anno Domini designation. When it comes to Events in 2011, that would reflect that the United Nations has designated this year as the International Year of Forests and the International Year of Chemistry. The International Year of Forests is meant to improve sustainable forest management, and raise awareness about this. The International Year of Chemistry will commemorate chemistry achievements, and several events throughout 2011 are being coordinated by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and UNESCO.

When it comes to the month of February, it is the second month of the Gregorian Calendar, and it is the shortest month, the only one to have less than 30 days. In common years February has 28 years, while in leap years it has 29. Leap years are years divisible by four, except for years divisible by 100 and not by 400. February was one of two months not being in the first Roman Calendar. The month of February starts on the same day of the week as March and November in common years, and at the same day as August in leap years. February ends on the same day of the week as October every single year, and the same day as January in leap years. Zodiac signs for people born in the calendar month of February would be Aquarius or Pisces.
